During  2001, El Tano, Pipa and Gonza were high school classmates and met on weekends to jam and do Metallica, Megadeth and Rata Blanca covers. During these years the line-up was: Ezequiel "Pipa" Catalano and Federico "El Tano" Rodriguez on guitars, Gonzalo Lopez on drums and Bompo (also high school mate) on bass. The band was known as Metalhead, but over time ended up being R12. In 2002 “Pipa” and Ema (who was Bompo`s friend) met at a "Cumbre del Metal" at the Showcenter Haedo Theatre and struke up a strong friendship. In 2003 Bompo leaves R12, Ema know the rest of the band and proposes to undertake together a Thrash Metal band, “Pipa”, Gonza and “El Tano” accept ...

2003: In the month of January in the West Zone of Gran Buenos Aires CAVADOR is formed with Emanuel Salgado on bass and vocals, Ezequiel "Pipa" Catalano and Federico "El Tano" Rodriguez on guitars and Gonzalo Lopez on drums. The band started doing covers of bands like Megadeth, Testament, Metallica, Horcas, Tren Loco, among others. On May 24 CAVADOR made his first live performance in the Santisimo Rock Fest. A few months later, due to personal differences, the band split.​

2004: In August after several talks and wines, Ema and "El Tano" decided to form the band again and definitively establish the line-up. In November "The Shovel" play some concerts in the local underground and so the band faces a new stage.

 

2005: During this year, CAVADOR not perform live shows and decides to start writing what would become their first EP and future first LP. In December Gonza enter the studio to record the drums of the EP entitled "Cavador" that would include four songs: The Sound of the Wind, Mundo de Dolor, Prometerán y Musical Death (a dirge) (Testament Cover).

 

2006: In April "The Shovel" end the recording of "Cavador". The album was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Roberto Castiglioni between November 2005 and May 2006 at HellCast Studios, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The band, also, made several live performances in Buenos Aires Underground sharing stage with bands like Nine Fears, Arhiman, Hell Vox, NecroabortioN, among others. After several twists and turns with the producer and manager of the band, CAVADOR released their first EP completely independently. This goes out to the street on October 16 and presented on November 10 in Locomondo, Bs. As.

2007: The group participates in "Under Steel Vol 1" compilation, with its theme "Mundo de Dolor". After some live shows and when everything was ready to start recording their first LP, CAVADOR unluckily splits again.

 

2008: CAVADOR has new line-up that would last only a few months: Ema on bass and vocals, Gustavo Romero on drums and Mancini Fransisco on guitar.

 

2009: At the beginning of the year the band enters Hell Cast Studios for recording "…de tumbas" with new line-up, Emanuel Salgado on bass and vocals, Daniel Lescano and Shinil Choi on guitars and Bruno Alamo on Drums. The recording ends in June and is published in late September. “…de tumbas” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Roberto Castiglioni between February and Juni 2009 at HellCast Studios, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The production was in charge by Roberto Castiglioni and Ema. The album has an excellent reception among fans and local media.

 

2010: CAVADOR returns to its original line-up with Ema on bass and vocals, "Pipa" and "El Tano" on Guitars and Gonza on drums. "...de tumbas". The group begins to be known and “…de tumbas” is published in Spain in a totally independent way and so the band started to seek new directions ... On the return trip from Spain Ema found out that the rest of the band doesn´t want to continue...

 

2011: Ema decides to go ahead with CAVADOR and the group established with Ema on bass and vocals, Horacio Castro and Daniel Lescano on Guitars and Rulo Bruzzone on drums, but soon Dani would not be able to be a permanent member of the band and so, for the first time, CAVADOR begins to play as a trio. The band is invited to take parte in a Spanish thrash tribute called "Metal Meltdown: thrashbrute" with the songs "A Lesson in Violence" of Exodus and "The Conjuring" Megadeth. In December enters HellCast Studios to begin recording.

 

2012:On January the recording of the Thrash-tribute is finished and in April the band enters La Nave de Osberg Studios to begin recording "Prohibido Nacer" drums. By the middle of the year "Metal Meltdown: thrashbrute" is published in Spain. A few months later, after performing several dates in the underground as a trio Ema decides to continue his way alone due to the lack of commitment of the rest of the group. Thereafter, CAVADOR becomes a studio project with friends and guest musicians.

 

2013: CAVADOR participate as soundtrack of the Argentina film "Guitarra de Medianoche" directed by Alejandro Gatti. "Soldado Argentino solo Conocido por Dios" is a totally acoustic album that includes orchestration, winds and strings. The album was recorded between Argentina, Spain and Norway; Recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Ema. It includes musicians from different countries.

 

2014: Ema settles down in the city of Bodø in northern Norway. During this year, "Soldado Argentino Solo Conocido por Dios" is published and "A Lesson in Violence - The Conjuring" remixed and remastered by Roberto Castiglioni in November 2014 in Ca-Studios, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The poduccion was made by Roberto and Ema. By the end of the year, the recording of a new EP entitled "Prohibido Nacer" is finished.

 

2015: Finally on May 21th is published "Prohibido Nacer", this EP has includes musicians from Venezuela, Norway and Argentina. Mixed and mastered by Roberto Castiglioni between January and March 2015 Ca-Studios, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The songs are "Prohibido Nacer", "Campo Desolado" "Ausgebombt" (Sodom Cover) and "Prohibited Be Born". For the first time CAVADOR records an own theme in English.

 

2016: CAVADOR edits an album-rehearsal from 2010, also, the whole discography of the group is reissued in physical format. The year has just began and the story continues on and on...
